A 15-year-old girl has tragically died after being savaged by a pack of around 30 stray dogs in a shocking attack that has left an entire community in mourning.
The horrifying incident unfolded in broad daylight, with terrified onlookers desperately trying to intervene as the teenager was dragged to the ground by the pack. Witnesses say the attack was relentless, lasting several agonising minutes.
Emergency services raced to the scene, but despite their best efforts, the girl succumbed to her injuries.
One eyewitness told reporters:
“It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen. There were so many of them – at least 30. We were throwing anything we could to scare them off, but it was no use. It was like they were in a frenzy.”
Police have confirmed they are now working with animal control teams to track down the dogs involved. Authorities believe the pack had been roaming the streets for weeks and have urged locals to stay indoors until the animals are captured.
A police spokesperson said:
“This is an utterly heartbreaking and devastating incident. Our thoughts are with the family of this young girl during this unimaginable time. We are doing everything possible to ensure this never happens again.”
The attack has sparked outrage across social media, with many demanding immediate action to deal with stray dog populations.
One Twitter user wrote:
“How does something like this even happen in 2025? That poor girl. This is absolutely unacceptable – authorities need to step up now.”
Another added:
“This is every parent’s worst nightmare. My heart breaks for her family.”
Local officials have promised a “full investigation” and are increasing patrols in the area to prevent further attacks.
The tragedy has left the neighbourhood shaken, with many residents fearful of leaving their homes until the dogs are caught.
