Four children between the ages of four and 12 were riding in a four-wheeler when they collided with a car on a city roadway on Wednesday, June 18, around 6:36 p.m. local time.
Police told the outlets that officers responded to the intersection of Culpepper Road and North Boulevard in Alexandria — which is approximately 120 miles away from Baton Rouge.
An initial investigation reportedly found that the 12-year-old, who had been driving the four-wheeler — with three passengers ages 10, 6 and 4 — did not stop at the intersection, despite there being a stop sign, and collided with a car, per the outlets.
