A late-night police encounter turned into a confusing and alarming scene after officers found a driver asleep at the wheel, prompting an urgent attempt to wake him and secure the vehicle.
The video begins with officers repeatedly ordering the driver to “put it in park” as the vehicle continues rolling.
“Stop what you’re doing. Put it in park!” an officer shouts.
Once awake, the driver appears dazed and struggles to follow directions. Officers instruct him to exit the car, but his responses quickly raise concerns about his awareness and cognitive state.
When asked what happened, the driver repeatedly references “the corner,” prompting more confusion.
“The corner… the corner for particle,” the driver says.
“I don’t know what you said,” the officer replies.
During questioning, the man claims he was coming from a local high school, saying he was “walking in the front desk.” When asked why he fell asleep behind the wheel, he insists this is the “first time.”
Officers continue probing his condition:
“Do you have any medical issues?”
“No.”
“Any alcohol?”
“No medicine? No alcohol?”
But the officers notice signs of impairment, commenting on his extremely small pupils and his incoherent answers.
When asked what day it is, the driver struggles:
Officer: “Today’s Friday, and you worked today?”
Driver: “Wednesday… Friday.”
Officer: “What time is it?”
Driver: “Ten… ten in the morning.”
Officer: “It’s ten at night.”
Officers then begin a field sobriety test, positioning the driver along a painted line while giving instructions step-by-step.
The video ends as they prepare to continue the evaluation.
Authorities have not yet released information about charges, potential impairment, or whether medical issues were later discovered.
