A bizarre and tense confrontation was captured on video as a woman repeatedly claimed she had “the power of Baraboo” and threatened to “sell” others during an argument that appears to involve acquaintances or family members.
At the start of the video, a man confronts the woman over financial issues, stating she had no money the day before and still does not have funds for what she is demanding.
The woman, who identifies herself as “Amanda,” continues making unusual statements, repeating:
“I have the power of Baraboo. I can sell Baraboo.”
The exchange becomes increasingly tense as another person warns her:
“Amanda, I’m going to warn you one last time… Are you going to listen to him or not?”
Amanda insists she will “take everyone down” and claims she is willing to “die for what is right.”
At one point, she references the Baraboo School District, though the others present make it clear the situation has nothing to do with the school or its staff.
Despite repeated attempts by others to redirect her or calm her down, Amanda continues making erratic declarations and refusing to disengage.
Authorities have not released information regarding whether law enforcement responded or whether any mental health evaluation occurred. It is also unclear what led to the confrontation or what “power” she believes she holds.
