A quiet afternoon in the city turned into a scene of terror and then relief yesterday, when a blind girl narrowly escaped a speeding car thanks to the quick action of an unlikely hero — a K9 dog.
According to eyewitnesses, the young girl, estimated to be around six years old, was making her way across a pedestrian crosswalk, guided only by her white cane. She wore a pale pink dress, a light cardigan, and dark sunglasses, carefully feeling each step on the painted lines of the road.
