Local authorities encountered a disoriented individual during a routine traffic stop earlier today, raising concerns about possible impairment.
According to police, the driver appeared confused and had difficulty answering basic questions about his whereabouts and activities earlier in the day. When asked where he had been that morning, the individual responded vaguely, stating, “Just a friend of mine,” but was unable to recall the town or the name of the friend.
Officers on the scene observed an empty beer bottle in the vehicle, prompting further questioning. The driver claimed the alcohol belonged to “some friends” and denied having consumed any alcohol that day or earlier in the morning.
Despite exhibiting signs of confusion, the individual declined medical assistance when offered, stating, “I don’t have an ambulance,” in response to a question about potential medical issues. He also appeared to be unaware of his current location, mistakenly claiming to be somewhere else.
Police have not confirmed whether any charges were filed or whether sobriety tests were administered at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
