Diogo Jota, a 28-year-old Portuguese footballer from Liverpoold, died this morning in a traffic accident in the province of Zamora.
The accident occurred at kilometer 65 of the A-52, near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria.
The Liverpool player died when the vehicle in which he was traveling with his brother André, 26 years old and also a professional footballer, suffered a road trip that started a fire.
According to witnesses who alerted 112, the car was engulfed in flames, which also spread to nearby vegetation.
