They were just trying to get home.
A young couple and their three children boarded the Air India flight like hundreds of others that day — tired, calm, unaware that these would be the last moments of their lives.
Witnesses say the family was seated near the back. The mother was feeding the youngest, barely two years old. The father was helping the older ones with their seatbelts. It was all so normal.
Until it wasn’t.
Just minutes before landing, the aircraft experienced a sudden system failure and violent turbulence. Passengers recall screaming, oxygen masks falling, and a brutal descent. In the chaos, that family — all five of them — never made it out alive.
One surviving passenger said:
“I looked behind me and saw the father wrap his arms around all three kids. He didn’t let go.”
The tragedy has left a hole not only in the hearts of loved ones, but in all who hear their story. They were a young family, full of life. Now, only memories remain.
