A teenager thought it would be a good idea to splash out on a fake police car — complete with sirens, lights, and the whole nine yards. But instead of living his dream of playing cop, he quickly found himself on the wrong end of flashing blue lights… the real ones.
The “Genius” Plan That Backfired
The teen had reportedly bought the car online and kitted it out to look like an undercover cruiser. Whether he thought it would impress his mates, get him free McDonald’s drive-thru priority, or just give him bragging rights, no one’s quite sure.
What we are sure of is that it didn’t take long for real officers to spot something wasn’t right. After pulling the wannabe cop over, they discovered his “patrol car” was nothing more than a dodgy DIY job.
From Cop Fantasy to Criminal Charges
Needless to say, the police weren’t laughing. Impersonating an officer is a serious offence, and the teenager could now face some hefty charges. Instead of living out a Fast & Furious fantasy, he’s learning the hard way that the law doesn’t take kindly to fake flashing lights.
The Internet Reacts
Unsurprisingly, social media exploded with memes and jokes. One user wrote: “Imagine getting pulled over in your fake cop car by a real cop car… levels of irony unmatched.”
Another joked: “Bro unlocked the ‘copception’ achievement.”
