Footage of a police officer’s “search” on a woman has gone viral — and people are furious.
The clip, shared widely across social media, shows an officer patting down a woman in what many viewers are calling highly inappropriate behavior. At first glance, it looks like a routine stop. But the officer’s hands linger far longer than necessary, and the search quickly crosses the line.
The woman, wearing a blue sweatshirt, appears visibly uncomfortable as the officer runs his hands across her body — sparking accusations that the search was not only unprofessional, but completely out of order.
Social media users didn’t hold back:
“This is not a search, this is harassment,” one person wrote.
“Disgusting power trip,” added another.
The clip has been captioned “Cop Inappropriately Searches Female” — and it’s hard to argue otherwise. Calls are already being made for disciplinary action, with many demanding the officer face consequences for what people are calling “abuse of authority.”
This isn’t the first time questionable searches by law enforcement have surfaced online, but this one has reignited the debate about proper procedure — and whether women should always be searched by female officers only.
For now, the internet’s verdict is clear: this search was not okay.
