In a story that feels straight out of a Halloween movie, newly released bodycam footage shows the bizarre moment police were called to a Spirit Halloween store after reports of — wait for it — a pet monkey running around inside.
The clip, captured on October 27, 2025, shows officers walking through the aisles of Halloween masks and fake blood, trying to locate the mischievous primate that allegedly startled shoppers.
According to witnesses, the tiny troublemaker was spotted clinging to costumes and even tried to grab a plastic pumpkin bucket before darting behind a rack of spooky décor. “I thought it was part of the store at first,” one customer said. “Then it blinked at me.”
The video quickly went viral after hitting social media, with users dubbing it “Planet of the Spirit Halloween” and “Monkey Madness 2025.” Many couldn’t believe the surreal mix of police lights, rubber skeletons, and a confused capuchin (yes, an actual monkey).
