You can’t make this up.
Police were locked in a wild high-speed chase across Los Angeles Friday night when the suspect suddenly did something NOBODY saw coming… he stopped for gas.
The drama began just before 10 p.m. in the Wilshire area after cops spotted a stolen dark blue Infiniti sedan. Instead of pulling over, the driver floored it — hitting 100mph, swerving across lanes, and tearing down the shoulder like something straight out of Fast & Furious.
But then — plot twist. With helicopters overhead and ground units scrambling, the suspect casually pulled into a Shell station in Lynwood and started pumping gas like it was just another Friday night.
At one point, he looked right up into the news chopper camera and covered his face — as if he knew the entire city was watching his every move.
Moments later, the chase ended in pure chaos. The car smashed into a light pole under the 10 Freeway near LA’s Fashion District, and the driver? GONE. Vanished. Escaped into the night on foot while police and cameras lost him completely.
The suspect is still out there — and yes, this all actually happened.
