On Tuesday, President Donald Trump utilized Truth Social to express his opinions regarding Jessica Tarlov, a contributor for Fox News known for her liberal perspectives, particularly on the program “The Five.”
Trump’s message was direct, stating, “I can’t stand Jessica Tarlov of THE FIVE,” and labeling her a “real loser.”
It remains uncertain which specific comment from Tarlov provoked President Trump, although she is known for her frequent criticisms of him and his administration during the long-standing evening panel. On July 24, Tarlov engaged in a heated argument with her fellow panelists as she attempted to minimize the implications of recently declassified documents that revealed how senior officials from the Obama administration fabricated the Russian collusion narrative under misleading circumstances.
Without providing evidence, Tarlov asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin “wanted Trump to win,” a claim that directly contradicts the conclusions of the report, which determined that Russian interference did not materially influence the outcome of the 2016 election and was, in fact, aimed at assisting Hilary Clinton’s campaign.
“Okay, so if you had read the report, you would have known that Putin had no preference who won,” interjected co-panelist Jesse Watters, prompting Tarlov to raise her voice. “You guys are literally going back… you’re saying that Putin didn’t, that our intel community and the rest of the world,” she exclaimed, further asserting that the report was “erroneous” as co-panelist Kellyanne Conway tried to articulate her argument.
“Excuse me, the media needs to own up to why part of this lie for years,” Conway remarked regarding the Russia hoax.
Tarlov persisted in her adherence to long-discredited assertions of significant Russian interference in the election, including the notion that Russian individuals creating Facebook memes had a considerable effect on the electoral results.
Trump’s criticism of Tarlov, who often incites the anger of Fox News audiences, gained significant traction on social media.
