During a brief but pointed statement captured in court transcripts, a judge emphasized that a defendant’s disruptive behavior during last week’s proceedings did not alter the sentence she had planned to impose.
The judge clarified that the sentencing decision remained unchanged from what was originally prepared before the interruption occurred. To document this, she entered her calendar page from the previous hearing as an exhibit, noting that it reflected her intent exactly as it existed before the incident.
“I want to make it clear that I am not changing or modifying the sentence I was in the process of imposing last week before I was interrupted by the defendant’s actions,” the judge stated. “Nothing’s been changed.”
